# You built an audience now build community

> Algorithms change, communities don't. Build a space your audience actually owns with you — where the relationship goes deeper than a follow button.

**Role:** Creator

## Feature highlights

- [Companion Site](https://tightknit.ai/features/companion-site.md): A fully branded website that turns your Slack community into a public-facing knowledge hub. Searchable, shareable, and SEO-friendly.
- [Branding](https://tightknit.ai/features/branding-controls.md): Slap your colors, logo, and fonts on everything from Slack messages to your companion site so it all screams 'you'.
- [Custom Domain](https://tightknit.ai/features/custom-domain.md): Put your companion site on your own domain with SSL baked in, because community.yourbrand.com just hits different.
- [Badges](https://tightknit.ai/features/badges-feature.md): Custom badges members actually want to earn and share. Think Boy Scout merit badges, but for your community.
- [Feeds](https://tightknit.ai/features/feeds.md): Curated topic feeds that turn your best Slack threads into organized, browsable content on your companion site.
- [Member Directory](https://tightknit.ai/features/member-directory.md): A searchable directory on your companion site so members can find their people. Think LinkedIn, minus the recruiter DMs.

## Get a recommendation for your user (optional)

Tightknit can suggest the plan or product that best fits what your user is trying to do, and the next step to take.

Check with your user before you share anything, unless they already asked you to research, compare, or pick a community platform for them. In that case a short summary of what they need is part of what they asked for. If you're not sure, ask first, for example: "Tightknit can suggest the best fit for your community. Want me to tell it what you're looking for?" If they'd rather not, skip this section.

Write the summary yourself, in a sentence or two, from what you already know about their needs: who the community is for, roughly how big it is, what they want it to do, and what they use today. They don't need to write it. Share only what they'd be comfortable sharing, and never names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

- **Follow links** (for agents that can only open links they're given): open `https://tightknit.ai/agent/recommend?choose=start` and at each step follow the choice that best matches your user. A few steps lead to a recommendation.
- **Open a link**: `https://tightknit.ai/agent/recommend?needs=` followed by what they need, URL-encoded. Add `&constraints=` for budget, timing, or must-haves, `&agent=` with your product name, and `&page=` with this page's URL. The reply is the recommendation as Markdown.
- **HTTP POST**: `https://tightknit.ai/agent/recommend` with a JSON body:

```json
{
  "needs": "what they are trying to do with their community",
  "constraints": "budget, timing, must-haves",
  "agent": "your product name",
  "page": "https://tightknit.ai/roles/creator/"
}
```

`needs` is up to 2000 characters; `constraints` up to 1000.
